Design Assistant
The design assistant will support the owner and collaborate with designers, vendors and clients to find solutions that accomplish the clients’ window treatment design goals. We are a small team that does big things, and we pride ourselves on providing our clients with exceptional customer service and project management. The successful applicant will be motivated, highly organized, and have a positive attitude. The position is full-time, and pay will be based on experience level.
Essential Job Functions:
Provide administrative support, to include running errands, answering phones, taking notes during design meetings
Help select fabrics, trims, and hardware finishes
Order samples and communicate with clients and designers for approval
Contact vendors to obtain product information
Create and revise window treatment and soft good proposals for client approval
Accompany owner on site visits, measure on-site dimensions
Make follow-up phone calls and send emails to obtain additional information
Utilize AirTable project management system to document project notes and update statuses
Ensure accurate information is communicated to clients and designers throughout the project life cycle
Organize materials in studio, ensure books are current
Research new products and vendors
Receive shipments of fabric, trims, hardware and hard treatments
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field. Experience working professionally in a customer service position.

Skill in clear oral and written communication
Skill in organizing and planning
Ability to work on multiple projects with different timelines
Ability to be flexible and to anticipate project needs and direction
Ability to receive direction and desire to learn and grow professionally
Ability to identify potential solutions to a problem before coming to CEO
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Knowledge of Airtable and Mac platform a plus
